Juventus has confirmed that midfielder Simone Chiesa has signed for Serie A rivals Inter Milan on a season-long loan deal. The Italian midfielder, who joined Juventus from Udinese in January 2019, will be available for the Nerazzurri next season after his current contract expires at the end of the campaign. Chiesa, 24,Chinese Super League Matches made 55 appearances for Juventus last season and scored two goals. He also won three caps for Italy's under-21 team during his time with the club. Inter boss Antonio Conte is delighted to have Chiesa on board, saying: "We're very happy to sign him. We've known each other since he was a young player, and we know what kind of qualities he brings to our squad." Chiesa is expected to make his debut for Inter against Cagliari on Sunday, while Conte will hope that the move will help strengthen his midfield options ahead of the new season. |
