Hamdallah, a prominent figure in the world of football and politics, has passed away at his Dubai-based property development company, Damac. The news was confirmed by the company's CEO, who said that Hamdallah had been battling health issues for some time. Born in Lebanon in 1947, Hamdallah was a key figure in the Middle East football scene during the 20th century. He served as president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) from 1988 to 1996 and was also a member of FIFA's executive committee. During his time with CAF, Hamdallah worked tirelessly to promote the growth of African football, including the establishment of the African Cup of Nations. He was also instrumental in the creation of the African Cup of Nations tournament, which became one of the most popular football competitions in Africa. Outside of football, Hamdallah was also involved in the development of real estate in the Middle East.
