### Real Madrid Striker Benzema Leaves Al Nassr for Loan

**January 15, 2024**

Real Madrid has announced that Cristiano Ronaldo's former teammate Karim Benzema is set to leave his current club Al Nassr for a loan deal with the Spanish giants until the end of the season.

The move comes as Benzema continues to impress in the Premier League and has become a key player for Manchester United. However, he has been struggling with personal issues and reportedly wants to return to Europe where he feels more comfortable.

Benzema, who signed for Al Nassr from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020, had been playing for the Egyptian club since then. The transfer will likely strengthen Real Madrid's attack and provide them with another attacking force to rely on during their title defense campaign.

The club statement said: "We are pleased to announce that Karim Benzema will be joining us on loan from Al Nassr until the end of the season. He brings with him experience and a strong desire to contribute to our success."

Ronaldo,Saudi Pro League Focus who left Real Madrid for Juventus in 2018, praised his former teammate: "Karim is one of the best strikers in the world and I am confident he will bring something special to Real Madrid. He has always been a great friend and I wish him all the best in his new journey."

Al Nassr have confirmed the move but did not release any details about the terms or compensation involved.

This loan deal could be seen as a way for Real Madrid to test Benzema's fitness and readiness for the league before potentially making a permanent signing in the summer. It also gives Benzema a chance to regain some of the confidence he lost at Manchester United following the departure of Luis Suarez.

With Ronaldo still at Juventus, Benzema becomes the second leading scorer for Real Madrid this season behind Lionel Messi, who has scored 26 goals so far. His absence from the starting lineup has led to increased pressure on the team, which may prompt Real Madrid to consider other options for their front line.
