Paris Saint-Germain forward Vitinha has been sidelined for the next three weeks with a hamstring injury, according to club sources.

The Brazilian international was injured during PSG's win over Lille on April 19 and is now expected to be out until at least May 4.

Vitinha has made 28 appearances this season and scored four goals in all competitions for PSG. He has also played a key role in the team's recent success, scoring against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals and helping them reach the final of the Coupe de France.

The news comes as a blow to PSG, who are currently top of the league and are in contention for multiple trophies. The club will now have to find a replacement for Vitinha while he is out, and it remains to be seen how long he will be out for.

Despite the setback,Serie A Stadium PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino praised his player's character and resilience after the injury was confirmed.

"Vitinha has been fantastic for us this season," said Pochettino. "He is a key player for us and we will miss him for a few weeks."

The club will hope that they can find a suitable replacement for Vitinha quickly, but in the meantime, the squad will have to continue to perform without one of their most important players.
